Basic Life Support & Automated External Defibrillators

This course is for anyone who has an interest in, or requires training on how to use the device, and how to perform Basic Life Support. We also offer annual refresher courses. We provide professional CPR manikins which provide a realistic chest compression and ventilation experience, with real-time feedback on rate and depth of compressions.



Every delegate receives a face shield to ensure maximum infection prevention. We always aim to teach using the same model of AED that you have to ensure you are confident and competent in the safe use of your equipment.

I have never done a first aid course before; will this be suitable for me? 

Yes – this course is designed for people who have no prior knowledge of first aid and also acts as a great refresher. 


How long is this course valid? 

We recommend doing this course on an annual basis. 


How long is the course? 

2 hours. Can be delivered at any time including evenings and weekends (this attracts a surcharge). Annual refreshers are recommended.


Are there any assessments on this course? You are welcome to get as stuck in with the training as you like, there are no assessment requirements. Your employer may wish to ensure you have taken in the knowledge, so do not hesitate to ask any questions. 


How old do I have to be to go on the course? Any age! Our trainers are all fully DBS checked to work with adults and children.

Intermediate Life Support

Our aim is to train healthcare personnel in cardiopulmonary resuscitation, simple airway management and safe defibrillation, enabling them to manage patients in cardiac arrest until the arrival of an emergency response.

Mental Health First Aid

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) is a course which will teach you how to identify, understand and help someone who may be experiencing a mental health problem as well as skills to take care of your own wellbeing.

 

Our experienced tutors can create industry-specific scenarios which will reinforce learning and bring courses to life. You do not need any prior knowledge to join us on this course. You will be provided with an MHFA manual, workbook and a line managers’ resource book where required.

 

Our half-day courses help you to become mental health aware, the 1 day course allows you to become a mental health champion, and the 2 day course teaches you to become a Mental Health First Aider.

Oxygen Training

This course is for hospice staff and professionals who are required to complete training as part of their job role. We provide all the equipment required to undertake the course and hand-outs are provided.

Paediatric First Aid

This 2 day course is designed to meet the Statutory Framework for the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and meets the requirements of Ofsted. It is suitable for Childminders, Nursery and School staff (dealing with Foundation Stage) and anybody who deals with children and wants a more in-depth course.

Falls Assessment,

Treatment and Prevention

A 1-day course to help you understand why people fall and what level of care they need after a fall. We can also provide training in the use of falls equipment, such as the Raizer Chair or Mangar cushions.
